The Town of Lusk was founded in 1886 by Frank S. Lusk (1857-1930) for whom the town is named. The county is fortunate to have one of the few remaining Carnegie Libraries, which hosts a wealth of historical information (niobraracountylibrary.org). The Stagecoach Museum houses one of the two remaining stagecoaches used on the historic Cheyenne to Black Hills Stage and Express Line, as well as an impressive collection of relics and numerous displays.
